MY FAIRY SKIN DERMA SET REVIEW
I have always been on the lookout for cosmetics that are affordable yet effective. For someone who is on a tight budget, I definitely want to achieve the skin that I want without breaking my bank.
I grew up wanting my facial skin to be like the Korean, Japanese or Chinese women that we see not only in the television but also when we go to the city. Nowadays, they are basically everywhere in the Philippines. For me, their beauty regimen is over the top. The maximum number of products that they put on their face is 12 and minimum is 6. They follow a strict beauty regimen every single night to maintain their glass-like and poreless complexion. And the cost for each of the product that they put on their face may be affordable but for a total of 12, I'd say that's kinda too much not for my skin but for my wallet. :)
Nowadays, there are a lot of products being marketed especially in social media claiming that it will give you that glass-like and poreless complexion. From stand-alone creams and toners to a complete derma/rejuvenating set.
I heard about Fairy Skin Derma Set in social media, a lot of people has been posting about it and making claims that it does work. I was skeptical at first until I saw one of my classmates in high school posting about the product with her photo and a caption that says the product worked for her. Yes, she is an online seller as well. At that time, I was having an issue with some acne scars that I had when I got so stressed out with my job and some fine lines started to appear on my forehead and on the mouth area. I didn't like it one bit, who does, right? After asking her about the product and some assurance from her that it does work, I ordered one Fairy Skin Derma Set and one Fairy Skin Glowing Set. Apparently, the Glowing Set is for maintenance once you're done with the Derma Set.
FAIRY SKIN DERMA SET
The product is used for the treatment and prevention of the following:
- Severe cases of Melasma
- Pimples
- Blackheads
- Whiteheads
- Whitens dark spots and blemishes
- Minimize Pores
- Anti-aging
- Removes dead skin cells
- Eliminates acne-causing bacteria
The box contains the following:
1 Derma Facial Toner 60ml
1 Brightening Cream 10g
1 Sunblock Cream with SPF45 10g
1 Derma Soap 135g
There is a disclaimer printed on the side of the box, so please make sure that you read those first before using the product.
The unboxing was pretty easy, opening the soap though was a challenge. The scotch tape that they used was basically wrapped around the edges of the soap that it was hard to find an edge to grab.
As for the smell, the soap smells nice. The creams and the toner smell fine, not too strong and different from the usual creams and toners that we purchase from the store/malls.
USAGE
I used the Derma Facial Toner after taking a bath or after cleaning my face, twice a day followed by the Brightening Cream (night time) and Sunblock Cream (daytime).
I felt nothing on my first day of using it, no sting no nothing. When I woke up the next morning though, the micro-peeling began and it was painful. It started around my nose and every time I'd accidentally rub on it the pain felt like something hot was put on my skin. There's a burning sensation if you accidentally touched the area where the exfoliation has begun, otherwise though, you would only feel that the skin on your face has tightened. Below is the photo after 2 days of using the product.
On the first 2 weeks, I endured what they called the "tiis ganda". Every time I use the soap, if I leave it on my face for about 2 minutes it would start to sting that I can't wait to wash it off. So what I did was use the soap, just make sure that you don't rub your face and wash it off immediately. Also, make sure that when you dry your face, don't rub just pat. As for the toner, yes, it was painful to use the toner in those 2 weeks that I ended up putting the same amount (3 drops) on a clean cotton ball and just pat it on my face. No upward motion (this is what's recommended but I can't do it at that time because it was really painful), just pat. I wanted to stop using it by then but because I started seeing positive results on my face, I endured it. It wasn't really that bad if you will just pat it on your face, you also have to make sure that you don't go out in the sun or you will damage the skin on your face.
Even if you're using the sunblock cream, still, I wouldn't advise it. If you must, always make sure that you have an umbrella or a hat to cover your face from the sun and don't stay too long under the heat of the sun.
On my third week, I started to notice that the toner and the soap don't sting anymore. I'm not sure what is the reason for this however, the pain and the stinging sensation just stopped that I am now using the derma toner just like any regular toner. No more patting and clenching my teeth every time I use the product.
My skin visibly lightened, it also minimized my pores, I have no acne and the fine lines are less visible. I haven't used any powder, BB cream, foundation or cheek tint/blush on on my face since I started using Fairy Skin Derma Set. When I go out, I just paint my browse, put on some lipstick and I'm good to go.
Aside from the stinging sensation on the first two weeks, there is another thing that must be considered when using this product. Because it exfoliates your skin and takes away all the dead layers, your skin becomes more susceptible to scratches. One time, I forgot myself and scratched my face and neck while I was asleep, I ended up with scratches that looks nasty. Also, the creams don't last for a month. 10g and I ran out of the Brightening Cream on my third week. :(
So the cream that I am using now is from the glowing set which I will be making a review as well once the toner from the Derma Set is used up.
The photo above shows the scratches on my face, they gradually disappeared as the soap and toner sort of like serves as an "eraser" of any blemishes and dark spots. The only thing that the product wasn't able to erase are the acne scars that I had before using the product. They definitely lightened up, however, the spots are still there.
These are my most recent photos and I love the results on my skin, from "tiis ganda" to this. :)
So yes, I would definitely recommend this product. The Fairy Skin Derma Set is effective and it's also very affordable.

hello po, natural lang po ba yung redness sa mukha,? first time kong gumamit last february 4 nga gabi until now. medyo mahapdi din po cya kapag ginamit yung sabon and yung toner, pero pansin ko lang yung redness sa mukha ko. need your opinion lang po. Thanks.

DeleteUser po ako ng fairyskin. Naka 2boxes na po ako kasi gusto ko pa magpeel konti hanggat bakasyon. Though, pwedeng mag glowing set na after ng derma set. Tingin ko talaga depende sa skin , kung hiyang mo. Sa akin kasi, as in nawala mga pimples, pimple marks ko. Sobrang laki ng pagbabago. Sinundan ko lang mga steps and extra gentle sa pag-apply. Sobrang gentle sa hilamos, pag-apply ng toner , and creams.. dapat nag skin test muna.. mat disclaimer naman po ang product.

ReplyDeleteif namamaga at namumula face nyo stop nyo nalang gamitin. ako kasi nag try isang beses lang nag pahid kinabukasan namamaga face ko and namumula tapos hindi pantay yung kulay nya at parang umitim yung mukha ko at nasusunog sya, pumanget lang face ko nagkaroon ng maliliit na butlig (makinis nung di pa ako gumagamit, kaya ako gumamit gusto ko sana matanggal pekas ko). sobrang nakakadry din sya ng face. it also contains Hydoquinone and tretinoion, both dangerous to our health.
ReplyDeleteI've using this product for 7 days. And I can see the side effects now. I can say that it brightens my skin and lessen my pimples. But nagstart mangati ung face ko on the 5th day hanggang ngayon. Should I be worry about this itchiness?
ReplyDeleteIdk if someone will answer my question pero sana meron huhu. I'm currently using the product it was really good. First week was the "tiis ganda" period wherein I experienced peeling and tiny breakouts in my face but nothing alarming. And then 2nd week happened and I was in my best shape like sis ang flawless ng mukha ko I don't need to put foundation or anything on my face I just need to do my brows and lips and done but then 3rd week happened (it my 3rd now) I have this huge bumps on my forehead and chin. Bumps ang tawag ko kasi diko sya matawag na pimple. Kasi usually may puti sa gitna diba? Yung akin maliit na bukol na medyo mapula. Masakit sya at makita at the same time. And this alarmed me somehow. Do I stop the product or this is considered normal? Someone tell me what to do.

ReplyDeleteHi, Im using fairy skin for about 10 days. First time ko gumamit ng rejuvenating set at hindj ko alam ang gagawin, finollow ko nmn ng mabuti lahat ng instructions. On my 1st week of using it bakit parang iba yung na experience ko sainyo or ako lang ba yung parang wala namang nangyayari sa face ko wala naman akong nararamdamn, hindi naman masakit nor mahapdi, hindi din nagpi peel. On my 9th -10th days ng pag gamit ko ng products dun ko na na feel gung hapdi nung mukha ko na arang nababanat pero bearable naman siya hidni din ako namumula as in parang wala lang talaga, dumami lang lalo yung pimple ko which is sabi nyo nga normal lang yon and effect lang yon ng process but my problem is hidni ko alam kung normal lang bang may lumalabas sa may gilig ng baba ko na parng dry skin na bilog na parang dark spot na parang nasusunog siya. I dont know kung ititigil ko ba sya or i co continue para mas mkita yung effect? Need some advice po

DeleteNagkaroon ako ng breakout, yun yung nagpush sakin na gumamit ng fairy skin, nagsearch ako online and okay naman yung reviews. First week using fairy skin, ang hapdi niya lalo na sa bandang noo ko kasi super dami ng pimple na lumabas sakin doon kasi nga nagbreakout, so tiis ganda. After 3 days, hindi micro peeling ang nangyari, as in para akong nakamaskara kasi super lalaki ng pagbabalat na nangyari. After a week using these products, okay na ako nabawasan redness ng pimples but still nafi-feel ko parin na may small bumps kapag naghihilamos ako. Wala na kong nararamdaman na hapdi until now pero may mga bumps parin na naiiwan. At may tumutubong pimples. Di ko alam kung dapat na ba akong magpanic. I started March 25 until now. Meron parin sa noo ko huhu. I dont know what to do. Please help po.

I think it's because kinamot ko dahil sa sobrang kati. Should I stop na po ba? And 17 years old palang po kasi ako. Sana po may sumagot, tysm.
